Telkom is under pressure to turn around its Nigerian operation, Multi-Links. So much so, that it has called on former Cell C boss Jeffrey Hedberg* to run it.

Hedberg had met with Telkom’s executive team while he was still employed by Cell C, and one got the feeling that the two parties were sussing each other out, trying to determine the best fit. Speculation at the time was that Hedberg would be taking over at Telkom SA. But it was Nigeria that Telkom needed to fix.
