IoT innovators are seeing hypergrowth in Africa.

For all the noise around Africa’s startup innovation ecosystems, it remains the case that African tech is still in its early stages, with relatively few sectors or businesses reaching a level of maturity where we are seeing large-scale M&A activity.
One less acclaimed sector, largely neglected by the likes of CNN and the BBC, is the Internet of Things (IoT) – perhaps less glamorous than investment platforms for smallholder farmers or mobile diagnostics apps, but quietly developing on the continent where a number of companies – notably in South Africa – have matured very quickly.
