Facebook vs Google+ – who gets the business?

Both companies are angling for the business networking market. Is Google+ David to Facebook’s Goliath?

While Waterloo might have been won on the playing fields of Eton, it’s not games that will be the decider in the present battle between Facebook and Google. There has certainly been coverage of Google’s adoption of Zynga (and Rovio) games to run up against the established dominance of Facebook in that area. But this is a sideshow compared to the potential revenues from becoming a leading force in business networking.

This new market is still being explored and developed. It is more than just having a Web 2.0 ‘presence’, which has been part of most corporate strategies for a couple of years already.
