Identifying, attracting, validating and onboarding the right talent is all about identifying those individuals who is driven and passionate about impacting the lives of our customers as well as our own employees , says Absa’s Head of Talent Acquisition, Corporate Functions, Jolandé van der Hoek. “The right person will identify opportunities and under sound, knowledgeable leadership, will be able to grow even into roles they have no prior experience in.”

Asked what career advice has helped her along the way, she says she has been fortunate to have been surrounded from a young age by people who provided the foresight to see a career coach and identify areas of fit, which informed her direction.
