Leadership by example is very much the style of Nomfundo Dlamini, director, Nkandla Municipality, whose calm, purposeful, clear manner and direction allows the people within her team to shine.

With a career that started as an intern at the Department of Health, her honours degree in industrial psychology led her into human resources roles. In 2013, she was appointed the assistant director, human resources at Nkandla Municipality and in 2014 appointed as the director corporate services, before moving into her current municipality director role at the tender age of 25, something she describes as a career highlight.
