If, for instance, the SA Revenue Service‘s customer intelligence and systems could be a shared resource, providing information about citizens’ paid-up tax status, any service delivered by any other government entity could be made conditional on their settling their debt to government first.

In such a case, where government procures products or services from a company, it would first check the company’s tax status. If anything is owed to government, the intra-government collaborative system would simply balance out two business transactions.
