World goes pop on global warming
While the Live Earth music concerts of July 7 have come and gone, the message left for people to make long term changes in their daily lives in order to combat global warming remains relevant, with a strong focus on encouraging the youth to tackle environmental problems.

Watched by an estimated two billion people – a staggering one third of the world’s population – Live Earth succeded in its first mission: “to reach billions of people and begin a process of communication that will mobilize people all over the world to take action on climate change.”
The recent series of worldwide concerts inspired by former US deputy president Al Gore, who has become the world’s leading campainger of global warming, kickstarted a three-year campaign that is explained on the Live Earth website.
