The gender pay gap bot reveals all

Data makes for a compelling sting in the platitude tail.

01 August 2025

The gender pay gap bot was launched in the UK in 2022 with the aim of drawing attention to discrepancies in pay between women and men. The bot replied to companies that had tweeted their support of International Women’s Day on March 8 with their gender pay gap data, pulled from the gov.uk website.

As co-founder Francesca Lawson told the BBC: “People are getting wise to corporate virtue signalling…If I’m that inspirational, then pay me properly.”
