Rehearsals should now be in full swing for the launch of a fun and utterly South African escapade: Madam & Eve the Musical. History will be made when the gin-sozzled grandma, kugel daughter Gwen and resourceful maid Eve turn a 23-year-old comic strip into a full-blown stage show.

Or maybe not. It depends on how well its creators succeeded in their efforts to become the first local musical made possible by crowd-funding.
