Established in 2002, the platform has evolved to become one of the most advanced native payroll platforms on the market and currently services 44 countries across Africa and the Middle East. Big brands love it, and Deel recently acquired it for an as yet undisclosed amount. We spoke to Alison Boruchowitz, director, people and organisation South Africa (non-board member), at Puma Sports South Africa, and Chantal Lombaard, HR executive, BSi Steel, about the technology.

“When I joined Puma four years ago, the payroll we were using wasn’t quite able to do everything we needed it to and couldn’t integrate into our global HR system,” says Boruchowitz. “Then I discovered PaySpace and realised it was exactly what we were looking for, especially around integration.
