Globetom is a specialist software developer and systems integrator that, among other things, develops and supports its own middleware product for the telecommunications sector. Co-founded in 2002 by MD Phillip Stander, the company today sees itself as a product development and systems integration company, says business development manager Lorraine Deane.

Stander had just left HP in the wake of the Compaq merger back in 2002, and, he says, “saw an opportunity. Even then, few local companies were involved in software engineering. Most were very much in the product implementation market.”
