Faritec's executive director of marketing Mncedisi Mayekiso's life has been defined by entries into environments where the colour of his skin set him apart. Indeed, it was these experiences that led Mayekiso and a colleague to light-heartedly pronounce themselves 'the first black club'.

Through it all, says Mayekiso, it was his father's exhortations and support that gave him the drive to overcome discrimination, seize opportunities, jump at risks and take nothing for granted.
