Ken Ford owns a private hospital and has been in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. As the managing director of Sunshine Hospital in Benoni and head of Cyber Nurse (www.cybernurse.co.za), he understands the pressures of staff shortages in hospitals very well. Ford also specialises in the development of private hospitals on the continent.

“The shortage of medical staff in South Africa, particularly nurses, has become critical. The country has a chronic shortage of nurses, so hospitals are really struggling to find them,” he says.
