The promise of home automation is as old as the remote control. It makes sense, after all – in our connected world, surely hooking up everything in my house should be easy enough? Why can’t you give me an iPhone app to dim the lights or central control panel to adjust the temperature for each room? The answer is that all this and more is possible, but it’s expensive. If you have the money, however, there are some very cool things that can be done to make your house digitally fancy.
The industry has moved beyond just automation. Instead of adjusting temperature settings for each room, the house can be enabled to do this automatically based on how many people are in a room.
