Technology is useful but making it easy to access makes it more intrusive. The interface between man and machine is becoming more invasive, a trend that’s set to continue.

Maybe we can blame mobile phones. We can certainly blame the movie The Matrix. Since the 1990s, there has been steady progress in bringing the virtual world of data – its systems and its content – ever closer to the brain.
Time was when the Final Frontier was just a keyboard, mouse and screen. Even that could be intrusive but it would keep the virtual world at least at arm’s length.
