In recent years, high-performance computing has been used more extensively for gaming than for business. This trend isn`t about to change any time soon.

High-performance computing is growing faster simply because the market started in computer gaming and not in the traditional business market.

Wimpie Clarke, CEO of Highquest, a Johannesburg-based company that develops customised software, presented at a roundtable discussion on high-performance computing, hosted by the Johannesburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE), in November.
