Altech is still examining the best way to structure its joint venture with Econet Wireless.

Altech has sounded a cautionary note about its proposed joint venture deal with pan-African cellular network operator Econet Wireless. Together with its results for the last financial year, the group announced that the deal might be restructured to exclude Econet`s operations in certain areas as a result of concerns raised in due diligence.

Altech CEO Craig Venter says certain conditions precedent for the deal still need to be met and the transaction is subject to refinement.
