HTC One – The new kid on the

HTC’s latest smartphone, the HTC One, is designed in the hope of regaining some smartphone ground from Samsung and Apple. The phone uses a micro-SIM that’s encased in an aluminium unibody shell. As such, the phone is rather light, weighing in at 143g and measuring just 9.3mm thick. Built into the smartphone is HTC BlinkFeed, a combination of Twitter, email and text messages appearing in a live stream on the home screen. The phone also features HTC BoomSound, a pair of front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier. The HTC runs the Android Jelly Bean operating system, which is powered by a quad-core CPU running at 1.7GHz. Backing this up is 32GB or 64GB of storage space and 2GB of RAM. The phone uses a 2 300mAh battery, which is sufficient to power the phone for just over a working day.
