Industry experts agree that if anything, the global pandemic has heightened the value of e-commerce and underlined Black Friday as a trade season.

Economies the world over continue to reel from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. But experts in e-commerce and retail agree that far from dampening the feverish excitement around Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM), if anything, the pandemic has only heightened interest and forced companies to fast-track their digital strategies.
Warrick Kernes, founder of Insaka eCommerce Academy and director of the eCommerce Forum Africa, says regardless of the economy, people will still be looking to buy Christmas gifts and retailers will be looking at this as an opportunity to generate sales, so BFCM is still happening and predicted to be the biggest yet.
