We’ve seen over the past year or so that South Africa’s datacentre and colocation market is heating up with the likes of Teraco and Africa Data Centres working on expansion plans, while US-based Vantage Data Centers is set to invest $1 billion into a greenfield Johannesburg campus.

International attention around the local opportunity is undoubtedly growing as a couple of the largest global players in the space are making moves to gain share in the African space.
