Just over six years old, South African tech startup IoT.nxt has made a big splash in an emerging tech space in a short period of time. Such has been its growth and success that the majority shareholding in the company was bought by Vodacom two years ago.

One of the brains behind the company’s technology is its chief of product engineering André Jacobs, who recently won the IITPSA President’s award for Technology Excellence.
