This project, funded by Ekapa Mining, was the recipient of the Limited Resources category at the Nedbank Capital Green Mining awards at the end of last year. This was the second time the awards, which recognise mining and beneficiation companies in Africa that contribute to the economy with responsible mining practices, were held.

Amandlebult Platinum Mine was the winner in the Environmental category, boasting an Environmental Management System (EMS) that has gone beyond compliance and been integrated into the entire operation of the mine, resulting in more sustainable practices for both the mine and the community.
