In the light of what we know about climate change, how stupid are we being?

Al Gore, winner of an Oscar and the Nobel Prize, loser of an American presidency, and consummate orator on climate change, appeared recently on TED (www.ted.com), where he referred to a competition in which advertising agencies were challenged to find a compelling message to increase awareness on climate change in the US.
