01 July 2010

Mosiuoa Tsietsi is a postgrad student at Rhodes University who, along with Professor Alfredo Terzoli, heads up the convergence group at the Telkom Centre of Excellence there. Tsietsi’s research is mainly in the area of service architectures in next generation networks, where he has taken a keen interest in experimenting with modular network architectures across a variety of platforms. Tsietsi says he is fascinated by the changing landscape of converged internet and telco services.

“The field is a jungle of different protocols and the cool thing about the internet is that it has a lot more flexibility and a lot more reliability,” says Tsietsi.
