The unparalleled success of the US`s Silicon Valley as the epicentre of the tech industry is based on a handful of factors. When it all started in the seventies, lots of universities in the area were churning out highly trained, highly competitive people. These universities also provided (sometimes illicitly) a cheap and accessible place to test, model or develop techniques.
