Scryer, a University of Stellenbosch- based start-up, has developed novel imaging technology that enables airport security to safely detect hidden objects on people as they pass through screening points. Dr Coenrad Fourie, principle researcher on the project, believes that if they time it right, Scryer could become one of the few major players serving the R10 billion airport security market in the future.
