In a world of tablets, smartphones and connected devices, everyone wants to be where the users are. Mozilla, the maker of Firefox, is no different. Surely that just means bringing the desktop browser onto mobile to reach those digital consumers? Desigan Chinniah believes there’s another way.

We all know, or have at least heard of, Firefox. It’s a web browser built on open source principles using open source technologies. This means it’s simple to build websites and applications for Firefox because there are accepted tools and standards that developers can utilise. This standardisation makes it possible for anyone to build something useful for others to use on the web. “Mozilla’s mission is to promote openness, innovation and opportunity on the web,” explains Chinniah.
