A meeting of minds at the Cradle

A new hotel and restaurant at the Cradle of Humankind are a testimony to luxury and flamboyant tastes.

01 March 2006

The Cradle of Humankind, just outside Johannesburg, is getting a lot of attention from historians and tourists alike. A new boutique hotel and restaurant has opened there, which caters to the tastes of both sets of visitors, and adds a delicious and quirky twist to the experience as well.

The boutique hotel is called Forum Homini, which is Latin for “a meeting place for people”. The name encompasses the entirety of the little development, which features conference facilities, a smoking lounge, a restaurant, a presentation room and, of course, a number of private units for an intimate weekend getaway.
