The future of the internet will focus on three core elements: applications, content and video. With software being delivered and consumed differently these days, Adobe is betting the farm on three sets of principles, namely client and cloud, social computing, and devices and the desktop. This was the clear message at the Adobe Max 2008 developer conference held in Milan, Italy, in early December.

Adobe previewed flash Catalyst and the next version of flex Builder, codenamed Gumbo. Adobe also announced the availability of Adobe Air 1.5 and an alpha version of flash Player 10 software for 64-bit Linux operating systems.
