Beats By Dr Dre Pill – No PIN required

As the name suggests, the Beats By Dr Dre Pill is a wireless speaker shaped like a large pill. It features the rich sound many have become accustomed to with other Beats products and includes a few features never before seen on a wireless speaker. According to the company, the Beats Pill is the first wireless speaker to use tap-to-pair Near Field Communication (NFC), meaning you don’t have to input any PIN numbers like you would when pairing through Bluetooth. Apart from playing music, the Pill will act as a speaker phone when connected to a smartphone. Furthermore, the Lithium ion battery will offer up to seven hours of continuous playback. It ships with an AC adaptor for charging from mains, but will also charge when connected to a USB port. The backmounted line-out will allow you to connect the Pill to an external speaker system and up to eight Bluetooth profiles can be saved on the device.
