Women who want to succeed in technology – or in any other career – must start by placing themselves at the top of their agenda.

Too often, women subjugate their own needs to the daily grind of juggling a career with caring for kids, the home and the husband. But self-sacrifice isn’t a virtue and certainly won’t reduce the gender gap in the workplace. Nor will self-doubt pave the way for the next generation of women who need a hand up from those above them, speakers agreed at the BCX Women in Tech Forum 2019.
