The dual economy and associated challenges
As a community, we`re really not that smart. We crowd into common spaces, travel alone and fight over the same spoils. What have we really learned over the years?

The South African community is in a multi-layered environment, with different groups of people working and living to different rules. Our rainbow nation has not blended into a common vision and common set of national goals.
As millions rush into urban centres, from within and outside our borders, the impact on our commercial environment is dramatic. Historical birth rate and mortality rate considerations don't apply when planning ahead. Provisioning of basic services, health services, housing, transport facilities, educational services, recreational facilities, emergency services, policing and justice services are not keeping pace with increasing and unpredictable pressures of national and international migration. What I see is delayed or non-delivery of social and urban infrastructure clearly out of pace with changing demographics and the demands of our national economic policy goals.
