It was in 2017 that SITA, the State Information Technology Agency, announced it would be establishing a government cloud. Since then, there has been a meteoric rise in this model, and the benefits are clear: why run creaking machines in your basement when the very best of compute, storage, and infrastructure is available in the cloud, on demand?

Now, more and more departmental CIOs are dipping their toes into the cloud.
