Mandisa Ntloko-Petersen, Chief Marketing Officer at BCX, says her passion lies in ICT, in really driving the marketing strategy aligned to the business strategy, thereby ensuring that what is done from a marketing perspective has an actual impact on revenue generation.

This passion for the ICT industry ignited the Wired4Women initiative that aims to inspire, influence and mentor women. “We are a wolfpack and we should at all times have each other’s backs,” says Ntloko-Petersen. “But what’s important is that we hold each other accountable, so that we’re not biased against our own gender and we give credit where it is due.”

At the beginning of 2020, just before the pandemic hit and following on from the annual BCX Women’s Day, it became evident that there was a dire need for more than just an annual event held during women’s month in August. “There seemed to be a need for a platform that runs throughout the year, driven by women for women,” says Ntloko-Petersen.
