The hybrid work model is a concept that now defines trade and commerce in the Covid-19 era. Working part-time from an office or fixed location, using a hot-desk system to manage available resources at work, and working part-time utilising monitoring software and digital tools to manage the remote ‘office’ at home is something that most people will have to get used to – and pretty quickly.

Business leaders feel the scenario is anything but temporary. Laurent Leclercq, CTO, Merchants SA, says for knowledge workers at least, the hybrid model is here to stay.
