At the end of last year a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed in a statement that participants in the Longhorn private beta programme had received an updated build of Longhorn Server code as part of the Windows Vista community technology preview.
“The goal of this private release is to continue gathering feedback from private beta programme participants, including hardware vendors, system builders, software vendors, developers and technology adoption programme customers,” the spokesperson said, in an interview published on ServerIQ.
