Thirusha Chetty, CIO, DHL Supply Chain

A woman with a natural affinity for the sciences and technology, Thirusha Chetty, CIO, DHL Supply Chain, is also passionate about people, underlined by people gravitating towards her for direction and advice. She believes trust is the foundation for successful leadership. Chetty has worked her way up from an entry level position where she had the opportunity to further her IT skills and also studied part-time through UNISA. She continued adding IT industry certifications, soft skills and formal post-graduate studies towards creating a generalist skillset to better equip herself across multiple IT services.

“I realised early on that I enjoyed the consulting environment as it provided a space for me to utilise a combination of technical and soft skills,” says Chetty. “I focused on business analysis, solution design, data science, infrastructure, software testing, project and account management, IT governance and cybersecurity. In my current role, I am able to apply my skills to both internal and external clients.
