IDC South Africa released the company’s 2014 predictions for the continent in early December. The predictions are based on interviews with African CIOs across the continent, IDC says. Several distinct themes emerged around technology adoption, investment and local relevance.

Says Mark Walker, IDC director, Insights and Vertical Industries, Middle East, Turkey and Africa: “Africa is getting real, and vendors will need to up their game. There’s no more lag in technology adoption and end-users are expecting Agame solutions.”
