This year has seen a rapid growth in the amount of personal content on the Internet. This presents enormous innovation opportunities to technology developers, as well as challenges in terms of the infrastructure and bandwidth required to deliver content and the ability of client devices to display and store it.
“We believe the next phase of the Internet is about the personal and personal access to it,” says Sean Maloney, VP and mobility group GM at Intel.
However, Maloney says we are only at the beginning of this phase because still relatively few people around the world have broadband access to the Internet and access to the Internet is still not very mobile.
