Software licensing, costs bug users
Technology buyers think enterprise software is too expensive and licensing programmes inflexible, a survey found.
01 August 2005
Users and buyers of enterprise software think vendors are charging too much and locking them into inflexible licensing programmes. This is a finding of an enterprise software survey, which was recently conducted online by ITWeb and software consultancy nFold.
The most common gripe – reported by more than half the respondents – is the high cost of software. Almost one-third further identify inflexible licensing programmes and the constant need to upgrade software as the biggest problems they experience.
