Fortune magazine`s latest 100 Best Companies to Work For survey puts US-based biotechnology company Genentech at the top of the list.

The annual ranking looks at a wide range of factors, including salary, perks and work environment. Among Genentech`s pluses is the fact that 95 percent of its workers are shareholders.

Of the ICT-related companies, Cisco Systems was ranked 25th overall, SAS 30th, Microsoft 42nd and Yahoo 73rd.
