Telkom has been "blindsided" by an anti-competitive action against it by Cellular Orion and a resounding defeat in its High Court action against Nashua Mobile, Orion Cellular and others.

In the latter case, Telkom had wanted a ban on connections directly from PABX systems to cellular networks, a practice known as least-cost routing, or LCR. But the judge failed to find a law under which Telkom could get its way.
