Access and identity management is one of the trickiest things to get right across the entire enterprise. Participants in this roundtable were from various verticals, and with varying degrees of maturity, from financial services and gaming, to healthcare and telcos. Some are further along their identity and access journey than others, but everyone says it’s challenging.

Brainstorm: Do you have an identity and access management programme in place, and if you do, how is that going?
Nastassja van den Heever, Group CISO, FNB, says she doesn’t think it’s fair to ask everyone to divulge their strategy and suggests, instead, that participants outline their own challenges. She starts. “A challenge we face is across multiple applications that are not onboarded onto an access governance platform, and then there’s always an audit finding that will come through, especially when you aren’t able to automate the JML (Joiner-Mover-Leaver) process.”
