Garth Hayward’s day starts early: he deals with all his communications from his home office before heading to his work office. If he doesn’t, he has to play catch-up, which he says he’s had to do once and will never do again ‒ the pace is just too furious to risk falling behind. Hayward runs the regional African office of Kaseya, a software company that provides systems management tools for all sizes of companies.
“My days are long and it’s not for everyone. I start at 06h00 and finish at 23h00 or midnight. So you either love it or you leave. I love it. I come into contact with many different organisations, from the entrepreneurs through to the formal IT departments trying to justify their existence to the business.”
