Everybody is talking about Bitcoin. Despite its somewhat longstanding presence within the online market (the cryptocurrency was first introduced to the world by pseudonymous developer Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009), the rumour machine is stirring up global conjecture and leaving confusion in its wake.

It’s a phenomenon. Who knew that a digital currency, unlinked to any exchange or formal reserve bank, could excite so much attention? As its appeal begins to gain critical mass, millions of would-be investors across the globe are starting to investigate more closely. Money, as the saying goes, certainly does make the world go round.
