Backing up data is an annoying, irritating exercise that most people consider a waste of time – and consequently forget about. That is until the laptop is stolen, the hard disk crashes or a file is corrupted in a Windows crash. Then it suddenly becomes important and, as always, IT is to blame for any lost, unrecoverable data.
In 1999 a small group of people in Western Cape decided to see if they could find a more efficient way to protect corporate data. They formed a company, initially consisting of five people, named Attix5.
