Creating a community of entrepreneurs within the black economic empowerment (BEE) framework is vital to broadening South Africa`s economic base, developing the economy and ensuring the inclusion of previously disadvantaged individuals, says the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

“No economy can grow by excluding any part of its people and an economy that is not growing cannot economically integrate its citizens in a meaningful way,” adds the department.
