When combined with operations, AI becomes a powerful tool capable of not just crunching, but of automating, analysing, correlating, detecting and determining. In 2016, Gartner coined the term ‘AIOps’ (artificial intelligence for IT operations), and defined it as the combination of big data and machine learning to automate IT operations processes.
