Apple trademarked its slogan, ‘There’s an app for that’, over a decade ago when launching its app store, and triggering the growth of the multibillion-dollar app economy. Now, there’s a new type of app in town, the superapp.

Superapps are a collection of other apps in one overarching shell, a one-stop shop for a multitude of different services. These platform apps typically include some element of financial services, and also house a marketplace, but can include communication, news, entertainment and more.
