As the Absa hacker case unfolds, bizarre details of how the money was allegedly stolen are coming to light.

The Absa hacker case is slowly evolving into a live courtroom drama. A story is emerging about how a down and out man in Bellville, north of Cape Town, allegedly managed to defraud the bank`s account holders of around R690 000.

Surprisingly, none of the 55 charges against the accused are from the ECT (Electronic, Communications and Transactions) Act that was signed into effect at the beginning of the year.
